OUR FAMILY

The story of our family begins on the fertile Messenian land, the best-known olive oil-producing region. Excavations at the palace of Messenian King Nestor have confirmed the vast importance the sacred olive tree held for society. In following the traditions of the Messenian land, the knowledge, practices and love for the sacred olive tree were passed on through three generations with the primary aim of ensuring the consistently excellent quality of the project.

3 Peaks got its name from Trikorfo (“three peaks”), a village in the Messenian region community where Grandpa Michalis Katsipodas began to care for each and every olive tree in his endeavour to achieve outstanding results when harvesting the fruit at peak maturity. His knowledge was quickly passed on to his son, Vasilis Katsipodas, when he was still a young boy. With great dedication, he continued the tradition in olive oil production and later ventured into international transport where solid foundations were laid for the commercial distribution of Greek olive oil. Grandchildren Michalis Katsipodas and Panagiota Katsipoda adopted the traditional practices of their homeland and strive to shine the spotlight on the products of the Messenian region with reverence and respect for their inherited principles and values. From his important position at 3 Peaks, experienced corporate consultant DAN FLOROS and a relative of the Katsipodas family, plays an active role in creating the strong base for the productive and competitive growth of 3 Peaks.

Trikorfo produces the olive we all love!

Το μόνον της ζωής του ταξίδιον
― Την βλέπεις, ψυχή μου, είπεν, εκείνην την “τούμβα”;
― Ποιάν, παππού;
― Νά εκείνην την αψηλότερη από όλαις ταις άλλαις, που φαίνεται, εκεί που τελειώνει της γης το πρόσωπο.
― Την βλέπω· εγγίζει τον ουρανό με την κoρφή της, παππού.
― Άι χακ! Είπεν ο παππούς, ευχαριστημένος εκ της απαντήσεως. Ο ουρανός ακουμβά πάνου της. Δεν ακουμβά;
― Ναι, παππού! Η γης τελειώνει αυτού πέρα και αρχίζει ο ουρανός.
